Hunter Valley Background

Hunter Valley Retreat Centre

Surrounded by 200 acres of beautiful Australian bushland at the foot of the majestic Watagan Mountains, this is where you can dive into the ecstasy and bliss of spirituality.

BhaktiFest will be held at Hunter Valley Retreat Centre

Situated at the foot of the Watagan Mountains, the Hunter Valley Retreat Centre is a little over a stone’s throw from civilisation and yet a hideaway all its own. Hunter Valley Centre sees some of the finest bushland scenery the Hunter region has on offer.

The centre is perfectly positioned to allow our youth to connect with the beauty of Lord’s creation with its clean air, and abundant wildlife, while still being close enough to the Newcastle major metropolitan centre for one to feel safe.

The Hunter Valley Retreat Centre has the added bonus of being only 25 minutes from the Sri Sri Radha Gokulananda temple in Millfield. It is the perfect place to clear one’s mind and open it to the teachings of the Vedas.

Getting there

By Car

Hunter Valley Retreat Centre is located at 626 Sandy Creek Rd, Quorrobolong NSW 2325. It is less than 1 hour 45 minutes by drive up to the centre and features a scenic drive with stunning scenery. Due to the high number of attendees this event, we recommend you to make your own way to the centre on the morning of the Friday by either car or train. Please note that if you choose to drive, there is ample parking in the location. We will also offer complimentary shuttle service from the closest main train station Morisset.

By Train (Cheapest)

The cheapest way to get to BhaktiFest 2025 is via the scenic Newcastle Sydney Trains line. We will have a BhaktiFest Team member guide one train ride from Central, and we encourage all members to opt for that train. We also will offer a complimentary shuttle from Morisset Station. A direct train ride from Sydney Central Station is only $7 and takes less than 2 hours. Opal Cards are required to travel on Sydney Trains and can be purchased at all stations. Please note that the Domestic Airport Station has a station access fee of $17. This can be avoided by catching a 5 minute bus ride on the 350 or 420 bus to the nearby Mascot Station. Google Maps is an excellent app to plan your trip in advance. The Opal App will allow you to view costing and train times as well. We advise you to please try and reach Morisset around 10am to allow ample time for shuttles and check in.

Hire a Car

There is also an option of hiring a car from the Domestic Airport. This will cost roughly $50 per person (for a group of 5) for 3 days. The 1 hour 45 minute drive up features picturesque sceneries and a safe and populated highway. Whilst this option is more expensive, it allows for a flexible drive at your own pace!

By Uber

This is a relatively stress-free method of getting to the airport. Especially if travelling with a group, this could come as low as $100 return. The 1 hour 45 minute drive up features picturesque sceneries and a safe and populated highway. Please note though, that while returning, due to the frequency and high demand, Uber response time may take ample time, so please allow sufficient time for planning.
